Founded in 2012, Crescendo Equity Partners (“Crescendo”) is a technology-focused private equity firm sponsored by Peter Thiel, a technology entrepreneur and investor.

The firm invests in buyout and growth capital opportunities in mid-cap technology companies in Korea or with a strong Korea nexus.

Crescendo offers a Research Analyst Internship for candidates with strong analytical and financial backgrounds, typically majoring in business, economics, or applied sciences. Interns will contribute to investment research, portfolio management, and market analysis in the technology sector.

Role Summary

• Work location: On-site, Seoul
• Duration: 3–6 months (starting in early-to-mid June, flexible)
• Compensation: Paid internship

Job Description

• Draft concise presentations and investment memoranda
• Gather, analyze, and synthesize financial, operating, and market data
• Assist in the management of portfolio companies

Qualification

• Strong interest in investing and technology
• History of outstanding academic and professional achievement
• Understanding of accounting, business, and finance, particularly equity (stock) markets
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Fluent in Korean and English (both spoken and written)
• Experience with financial data/media research and understanding of capital markets
• Prior internships in investment banking or consulting are a plus, but high-potential candidates without prior experience are welcome
