Founded in 2012, Crescendo Equity Partners (“Crescendo”) is a technology sector-focused private equity firm sponsored by Peter Thiel, a technology entrepreneur and investor. The firm specializes in buyout and growth capital opportunities in mid-cap technology companies in Korea or with strong nexus with Korea.

Crescendo seeks to hire a Research Analyst Intern with strong background in finance and a degree in business, economics, or applied science. The program is set to begin in March 2026, and last for 3 to 6 months.

Job Description (Research Analyst Intern / In-person / 3-6 months)

Research analysts assume integral roles including the following responsibilities.

1.  Position Description

    ‒   Drafting presentations and memoranda of investment opportunities.

    ‒   Gathering and synthesizing financial, operating and market data on specific engagements.

    ‒   Assisting in management of portfolio companies.

2. Qualifications

    ‒   Strong passion for investing.

    ‒   History of outstanding academic and professional achievement.

    ‒   Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

    ‒   Native proficiency in spoken and written English and Korean (Native or near-native fluency in Japanese is a plus).

    ‒   Ability to translate between Korean and English.

    ‒   Experience in financial data and media research.

    ‒   Understanding of accounting, business, and finance, particularly equity (stock) markets.

   ‒   Previous investment banking or management consulting internship experience is a plus, but candidates with exceptional talent without prior experience will also be considered.
